We have been writing game reviews about educational games that are advertised in the Interface magazine. Jack M, Nicholas, Aimen and Baily worked together in this group and they reviewed a decimal game. Here is the task and success criteria that we decided on:
Today the FFD Reading group who have been working with Suzanne this term held a debate about the concept “Attitude is Everything”
Caitlin, Vaishnavi and Aimen argued that Attitude is everything and Nicholas, Eli and Jack M argued that Attitude is not everything. The teams were assessed on four areas: presentation, content, rebuttal and crowd response.
We are learning to persuade and we have also been learning about how static images or posters use techniques to convey a message. This learning intention was tells us how to create an effective static image.
We have been working through the final stages of our Reading Contracts and this week we’ve been able to finish off a few. The task for the Tele’s and The PRS’s was to evaluate the Timber Industry and create something that demonstrates your understanding. We’ve created posters, movies, keynotes and boardgames. As part of our homework, we wrote persuasive letters to the Minster of Education to ensure that school camps were essential for schools: Well done to those who completed the task – they sound very convincing!
