Nine Inch Nails

Every Wednesday James teaches Room 9 and is leading us through some exciting problem-based learning: Cycle Mountain.  Last week we had 200 tyres delivered to use for our cycle track.  We needed to move the pile so they were out of the way.  It was a really fun time!

Kayleigh and Kaitlin have finished their camp movie. Man, we had an awesome time! There are literally thousands of excellent photos to choose from! If you want some bring in a pen drive one time and you can sit down with your son or daughter and choose some photos of them to remember forever!

Hi this is Aaliyah typing to show you what NIN has been doing. Room9 has been doing a portfolio page so I thought that I could show you an example of what kind we used.  Room9 went onto photofunia to pick what title pages we wanted to do and i had picked that I was ‘wanted’ and if you can see my name that would be the picture of me. Thanks for looking at the example I had used. : )

 
These are our techniques and skills to jump in 1 or 2 feet while catching, a ball and stopping straight away.  You have to not skid and land on two feet or take two steps and stop .Shar has been teaching us how to change forms straight away, like running, walking and jumping while high fiving your buddy in the air.  It was hard and fun and now were moving to the next step. thanks a lot Shar for being a good PE teacher and teaching us new cool techniques.

We have been learning about the long “a” sound and we had to create a rap or song teaching others about long a sounds. It was fun making the beat in GarageBand. It was hard to rap and read and hold the book all at the same time!

We have been reading about how to make a worm farm in this book. We went to have a look at our worm farm by the compost bins. We laughed at the worm wee!

We are wondering what the worm wee does for our garden and if we can get the worm farm up and going again? We had an idea to have a competition for the classes at RSS to collect the most scraps.
