A guy had now died from trying to win a world record by trying to burring himself underground from Saturday at 9:30 to Monday in the afternoon, Nic asked us to go on the ipods and make a picture and writing of what you read on 3 news.

Today our buddy class, ‘Super 7s/Busybees‘, invited us to do an art activity with them to create a quilt.  We had such a good time spending time with our buddies!

Brooke and Vaishnavi were our bloggers of the week creating a movie about something we have done this during last week.  They have collected all the videos and pictures and put it together in imovie.  NIN did an amazing job creating beautiful butterflies with reflectional symmetry:

In our reading reading group (The Tele’s) we have been making peace posters.  We were trying to show symbols of peace like the peace sign, dove, people together.  We also included people who fought for peace like Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King Jr.

We are busy organising our portfolio samples to put on our e-Portfolios.  For our art sample we are using a Web2.0 tool called Glogster.  You can make a digital poster – it’s pretty wicked.  Your images will be photos of your hopes, dreams and aspirations picture.  Here’s mine:

Hi, my name is Juliet and I’m lucky to be at Russell Street as a student teacher, guiding our Room 10 students through their own Art Inquiry. Today we were learning to identify the mood and feelings that artists use to say what they mean when using colour. We explored ten different paintings in our inquiry groups and used lots of “colour” words to describe what we saw and what the artists were saying and how.
