Buddy Class Activity
Today our buddy class, ‘Super 7s/Busybees‘, invited us to do an art activity with them to create a quilt. We had such a good time spending time with our buddies!

Tele’s Reading Task
In our reading reading group (The Tele’s) we have been making peace posters. We were trying to show symbols of peace like the peace sign, dove, people together. We also included people who fought for peace like Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King Jr.

Viewing and Discussing Artwork to Learn About Colour for our own Paintings
Hi, my name is Juliet and I’m lucky to be at Russell Street as a student teacher, guiding our Room 10 students through their own Art Inquiry. Today we were learning to identify the mood and feelings that artists use to say what they mean when using colour. We explored ten different paintings in our inquiry groups and used lots of “colour” words to describe what we saw and what the artists were saying and how. Tomas and Quentin were really excited by the painting ” The Scream” by Munch. Enjoy viewing their response below:
